Careful, professional, and eager to please their customer, Yankee Movers did a top notch job! First time experience with a moving company and they did not fail us, they were terrific and hardworking! The 3 men crew Eddie, Britson and Jampa sufficiently accommodated all my needs and I was fully satisfied with their service. They wrapped all my furniture carefully and even added packing paper to some of my boxes that they thought were poorly packed. They cleared my 1.5 apartment in Park Slope in less than 4 hours and another 2 hours to unload in my new apartment in Manhattan. I would have to say I was totally pleasant with the entire moving process from start to finish. Please feel free to put me in the list of your satisfied customers as a reference!
Moving Company Worth Every Penny! ( Citysearch Review)

This review was long overdue. Yankee Movers moved me a week before Christmas to my new house in Dix Hills. It was an all day move with packing, wrapping, crating, loading, unloading, etc. The team of 6 movers lead by Sam arrived 5 minutes after the schedule time, but since the move was a binding estimate we were not worried about them being 5 minutes late. Once all paperwork were signed, the movers got right to work. A female packer, Cynthia was packing all the kitchen items, 3 of them wrapped all the furniture in the living room, dining room, and the 2.5 bedrooms. The other 2 was helping carry all the wrapped furnitures along with boxes in the truck while Sam was organizing both trucks to make sure all our goods fitted perfectly in both the trucks. From past experiences, the movers I hired treated my items like garbage bags. Such was not the case with Yankee Movers.
All six movers were very careful with our belongings and treated them with extreme caution. Once loading was finished, they headed straight to my new home in Dix Hills and started unloading. The manner in which the movers carried out the entire moving procedure showed the dedication and pride they had in their work. All the furnitures were unwrapped and placed carefully to my orders. It was a long day of manual labor and all credits goes to the movers of Yankee Movers along with their office agent Steven who was cooperative and super friendly throughout the move. Thank you again for the job well done and will absolutely recommend all my friends/relatives to your company.

I spoke to several moving companies before settling on Yankee Movers, but was still nervous about my things (five 7-ft tall Ikea wardrobe units) surviving the move. It turns out that there was nothing to worry about. Not only did they offer a great, fair price, but the crew (Britson, Sam and Kumar) was highly professional, great to work with and even more careful than I was with my own belongings. The day was long, but it was made much easier with such great movers.

Yankee Movers rock! These guys offered a great, fair price and did a stupendous job moving my bulky furniture. The office staff was professional and helpful, and on moving day, the crew took a lot of care to prevent damage to my stuff, worked quickly and were just generally great. I was definitely in good hands and could not have asked for more.

I spoke with Steven the day of my move to tell him what a wonderful experience I had with the movers but I just wanted to let you guys know via email how great the guys were.
Brixon (I believe that's how you spell his name), Carmine, and the third man (whose name I'm forgetting, I'm sorry!) were so professional and careful with all of my belongings! They got to my house ahead of the scheduled time and got straight to work after Brixon explained everything to me.
They moved my grandmother's antique furniture into our garage for safekeeping and took great care to make sure that nothing was damaged, as they did with everything else.
Everything arrived to my new home promptly and when I asked them to move things around after they had initially placed them, they were happy to do so to make sure everything was the way I wanted it.
I can't say enough good things about the team and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a moving company.
They really made moving stress-free!!

Let me start off by saying, I tipped the three men that Yankee Movers sent to move my handful of furniture from my old studio apartment to my new 1 bedroom apartment jus 4 blocks away!
The requirements of my new building literally forced that I hire professional movers: masonite, CIO, blah blah blah. Anyways I stumbled upon Yankee Movers when they were hired to do a move for a neighbor in my old apartment. I saw the truck parked outside my building, and with a name like Yankee Movers, who could forget them? I gave them call, got a quote with the right price and decided to hire them for my very small move. The move, of course, was done within the minimum hours quoted and to my surprise I had a rather pleasing experience with these guys. The movers showed up on time, worked non-stop and got the job done in a professional manner.
Whilst I never saw myself paying to have my stuff moved, the service I received from Yankee Movers was worth every penny!
I would not hesitate to recommend Yankee Movers to anyone. They are an honest company with a truly courteous and professional staff.

One good thing about having bad moving experiences in the past is that they make you appreciative of the good guys when they come around... Yankee Movers is one of those good guys.
From Timing, to Performance, to Customer Service, you name it, Yankee Movers was spot on!
The movers, Karma, Phil and Jampa arrived right on time. They were extremely polite, friendly and professional. They provided the expertise that was needed to move my oversized king bedroom set from a 5th floor walk up to the 10th floor of my new elevated apartment (if that’s not impressive, I don’t know what is!)
The move did take longer than the estimate; however this was due to heavy traffic which the phone rep did mention could impact my move time.
In the end, the only regret I have from my moving experience with Yankee Movers is that I didn’t have more cash on me to tip their movers. They are hard working gentlemen and it was my pleasure to have worked with them.

We had a great experience with Yankee Movers two weeks ago. We had booked with the company a little over a month ago and despite the fact their estimate was 7-9 hours (and we were prepared for 9 hours) the guys completed the job in 6.5 hours...saving us some more money.
The three guys that came and moved us were professional and amiable. We moved to a third floor walk-up to a house that had 2 floors. They moved everything quickly and the vast amount of stairs didn't seem to faze them.
I could go on and on about them...but you really must use them if you are moving! They turned a stressful situation into a enjoyable one!

Let's start with a well-known truth: moving sucks. Just over this past weekend, we moved from a private house in Park Slope to Wall Street, we looked up for movers on the web, narrowed it down to a list of three highly rated movers, and had all three give us an estimate on our move. Truth be told, Yankee Movers wasn't the cheapest, but from the very first moment we talked to them, we had a sense that they were very organized, very honest, and very reliable. The estimator provided a comprehensive and accurate estimate.
The morning of the move, four movers showed up right on time, and within three hours, our condo was empty. They were unbelievably careful with our fragile items (mirrors, antique dresser, etc). and also just great guys- polite, friendly, and easy going. When they arrived in my new apartment in Wall Street, the crew was amazing - in less than 2 hours, our apartment was unpacked. All of our stuff arrived exactly it was packed and wrapped- not a single scratch, dent, or break - and the movers quickly assembled the few items that needed to be put together post-move. All of this to say, If you are planning to move with NYC, Yankee Movers is the way to go. They take a painful process and make it easy.

I had an excellent experience with Yankee Movers. They were incredibly fast and efficient, and very accommodating when we encountered an issue with our building's management company. Our movers, Sangpo, Britson and Jampa, were professional and great to work with. Had we not encountered any issues with management (which was purely my own fault for disobeying building rules), they would have moved all the furniture and boxes from the truck to our new apartment in less than a half hour! I was very impressed and would absolutely recommend them.

I have used Yankee Movers twice - the first time three years ago and the second time yesterday. They are excellent movers and I highly recommend using them. They came EXACTLY on time (to the minute). They were explicit and clear about the pricing and I believe that it is a good deal compared to other movers in the city. They expertly and carefully wrapped all of my furniture and did not get one scratch on anything. They were very hard working, and did not even want to take a break when I offered lunch (it was an all day move).
The icing on the cake is that the movers were INCREDIBLY nice and courteous. The whole thing could not have gone any smoother.

This past weekend, we moved into our new home with the help of Yankee Movers. I said to one of the guys, "what is very difficult, you make easy" and i meant it!
Sam and his crew (total of 5 including him) arrived half hour early and got to work immediately. The only time they stopped was when we brought coffee in and told them to take a break and then when we brought lunch in. Both times we had to tell them to stop and take a break.
We moved a truck and a half worth of stuff and everything is in perfect condition. Whatever we didn't have time to pack, they took care of for us.
The crew was polite, courteous, respectful and skilled. My husband and i are from the restaurant business and we thought our industry is hard. These guys did what for us would have been impossible and they did it with a smile. I will definetely call them the next time i'm moving!

I've been meaning to write this note since you moved my mother on
9/11/2010. She moved from PA to rockland County NY. She is elderly so
the move was stressful for her and the two movers, Ronnie and the other
man whose name I can't remember, were really wonderful. They packed up
everything with such care, stayed in touch with me on the drive to NY
and unpacked everything just as carefully. They went out of their way
to make this move easy for my mother and I appreciate their politeness

Yankee Movers moved me last week. Prior to the day of the move, they were very accommodating with my changing schedule/requirements; and dealt directly with my coop management company in arranging the necessary insurance. On the day of the move, the crew arrived on time, went through the details of the paperwork, including expected costs, and started immediately. The crew was courteous, professional and careful at all times during the move. They were also careful about not getting any parking tickets and moved the truck whenever they had to. They handled my fragile items with care and nothing was broken or damaged at the end of the day. Also, I had an extra large cabinet that couldn't fit into the elevators and the crew walked it down 5 flights of stairs at no additional charge. I definitely recommend using them

Awesome. I used them 2 weekends in a row to move my girlfriend then myself out of our apartments and into a 5th floor walk-up. Very hard workers. Friendly and easy to work with. They knocked out each job in 3 hours and saved me the time and stress of doing the job ourselves. Well worth the money. Hopefully I'm not moving anytime soon, but I'd recommend them to anyone.

I wanted to take this time to express my appreciation and gratitude for the service rendered on march 6, 2009. I had to move, at a moment's notice, into a storage facility. I was unsure, concerned because i have a lot of expensive, valuable possessions and did not feel comfortable with anyone. I called the movers recommended by storage facility and did not measure up to my criteria. When i spoke to your company, i felt a little more comfortable. When i met Roland, he reassured me that he would take meticulous care of my things, he introduce me to the other two movers and did a phenomenal job.

In my 14yrs in the city I have moved about 6 times and I have had to use professional service, every time. My experiences have ranged from "OK" to downright "Horrible".
I have grown from those experiences though.
I moved with Yankee movers about month and a half ago. Tashi, my sales manager not only handled my booking but also took care of my building insurances with my management (note: let your building management/super know of the date and ask them about their insurance requirements. My new building didn't tell me about their insurance requirement up until 2 days before the move!) Tashi called up the Management and set the whole thing up the next day. My movers Roland, Chris and....(?) were very professional, friendly and detailed.
To sum it up, on time, friendly, knowledgeable crew, no broken stuff, no broken furniture, no hidden charges and no dilly dallying. I was delivered more than I was promised.
I have and will refer you to all my friends others looking to move.

I was shocked and amazed at how painless the move was. This is my third move in four years and each one was more stressful and expensive than the other. I guess I made the right choice with Yankee Movers this time. It was just that...NO additional fees. NO surprises...and a job well done.
Roland, my foreman was very pleasant as he went over all the paperwork with me; while at work he was excellent delegating his team. Over all, the entire move could not have gone more smoothly, thanks to the personal attention I got from start to finish.

Thank you for your help.
Your guys were excellent, I can't even think how nervous and stressed I was up until the point your guys showed up. I was moving an entire cell phone showroom and the place was as is! Luckily this did not come in as a surprise for your guys.
It took them about 5 minutes to look around and absorbed the layout and plan their work.
Chris my foreman was an excellent leader and a complete gentleman. All my rates were as discussed with my sales agent and Chris went through the moving supplies price list with me in detail. I did not notice any forced or up selling techniques involved.
All of my 6 huge glass showcase got to the new place with out a scratch.
They were the actual cause of my worries. Each one of them is worth about $ 7000.00 and not easily replaceable as they are all custom built.
I thank everyone involved with my move.

Moving could be such a tasking experience. I moved from Astoria, Queens NY to Manhattan NY. Your staff was wonderful; they arrived on time, very friendly, put me at ease right away. The traffic was a killer at the Triboro Bridge and it took us much longer than usual to get to Mid - town but I guess I can't blame them for it, I was following the truck on a cab. The guys were swift unlos). ading and every thing was put in it's place. There were no hidden charges at the end, you can't get any better than that. I would recommend your company to anyone who is moving. From the first phone call to the final follow up you guys were in your game. Well done.
